There are a few things that I splurge on because quality counts…purses and shoes. I’ve tried to buy cheaper but they never last as long so I wind up spending less, I’ve found, to make quality count the first time.

And there is no dispute that Cole Haan is known for quality workmanship.

That wouldn’t have mattered had my Pomeranian puppy not chewed up my original leather cover that came with my Kindle when I received it as a gift! But, God love her, she did. (Luckily she spared the Kindle so I turned the other cheek)

so, when it came time to update the cover I thought I’d treat myself…but I also chose this for another reason aside from the good looks and quality.

I’ve taken my Kindle to week long work conferences before and places where I’d rather look like I was toying with an electronic organizer than look like I was reading my summer novel during a break in a work session or something of that nature. This adds that executive, handsome feature to your Kindle.

Wrong as it may be, some things, in our hands, just feel luxurious and make us happy. I use my Kindle daily so to treat myself to a cover by Cole Haan…I could justify by just giving up some night out that I didn’t need. It was a delicious treat in patent leather!

I was glad I made that emotional purchase. I swear it makes me love my Kindle more, which I didn’t think possible!

(And this one, with it’s heavy leather and heavy stitching is, thus far, totally puppy-proof!)

This is the second cover I have purchased for my K2 and, while the cover’s color and patterned design are beautiful, I do wish it had some of the features of the M-Edge cover – like the two small corner straps for added security in addition to the hinge system and a latch to keep the cover closed completely. As I often fold the cover back when I am reading, when I go to close the cover, it never sits flat. These two features would make the cover perfect in my mind. (which it really should be for the price)

I waited a long time for this Kindle cover, and it was worth the wait. Now, not only is it really gorgeous, but it has a very secure attachment device that clips directly into the two tiny slots on the left side of your Kindle. MUCH better than the elastic holders of the older version. My only complaint, and it’s not really a complaint, more just something you have to get used to, is that the right side of the Kindle is not secured, so it sort of swings around if you’re not careful. However, I have no doubt that it’s securely in place and is not going to fall. And for those of you who like to fold back the left side of a cover, this one accomplishes that just fine. This is, for sure, an expensive cover, but if you want the most elegant and beautiful cover for your Kindle, this is IT!

I was quite disappointed in this cover–it did not look as rich as I thought it would from Cole Haan and the workmanship was shoddy. I returned it and got one from M Edge that is much nicer and a whole lot less expensive. The woven patent leather is not comfortable to hold onto and looks more like plastic than leather

I really like this cover. Very attractive and functional while it cradles the Kindle (I could not reist. My one issue is with the light colored suede interior. It gets a little grubby.
