After reading the other reviews, I ordered this jacket a few days ago and it arrived earlier than estimated. I love everything about it. It’s beautiful and functional. A perfect pink. Leather feels good and smells just the right amount of leather – not overwhelming, but reassuring that it is quality leather.

Inserting the Kindle 2 couldn’t be easier (instructions are provided and are idiot-proof!). The Kindle stays firmly in place and there are also handy little pockets – one for the e-luminator which I also have and love, and the others for bits of paperwork or a business card.

The jacket and Kindle together are still neat enough for me to insert into my handbag and it is still lightweight – probably lighter than the book equivalent.

I love that I can now take my Kindle with me wherever I go without worrying it might get scratched or damaged in my bag. It will stay looking as new and protected – and I’ll be able to read on the go.

It’s a bonus part of the price goes to Breast Cancer research.

I purchased this produce with the reading light. In the beginning, I was very pleased. It is an extremely nice looking jacket. But having used it for about a month, my opinion has changed.

The center tongue is in the way when I read. I have to try and fold it back, but it still sticks out. It is right where your “next page” and “home” button are. Those are the two most requently pushed buttons on my device.

The front flap does not want to flip all the way around. It creases when I try to make it fold back.

Also, because there is room for the light inside the case, it really does ad quite a bit of bulk.

Personally, I feel I would have been happier had I chosen a different M-Edge cover. The leather is beautiful. The craftmanship is wonderful. The color divine. Just the ergonomics are a bit awkward for me.

I bought the regular M-Edge cover and this cover, to compare. This one holds the light, which is convenient, but doesn’t fold well, doesn’t have an exact hinge, and the strap flaps about.

Pro: Great quality leather, attractive, VERY secure with the hinge connections and 2 separate straps, in matching color. No worries ever about the Kindle falling out in my bag or when reading.

Con: Not easy to fold, is bulky in my hands. If I hadn’t had the regular M-Edge cover, I wouldn’t have known how sleek and professional looking a cover could be. I prefer the flat, no-strap, no-hinge model, and keep the light in a little bag for use as needed.

The hook on the jacket spine will not hook into the kindle, so it keeps falling out. Otherwise, it looks pretty and is sturdy. I like the fact that some of the proceeds went to Breast cancer if you buy the pink.

  5. It’s Pink And it’s hot but it would be a smidge cooler if the hooks inside fit it with the Hot Pink rubber cover on it too. A tiny pain to have to take the rubber cover off and stow it while it is in the leather case. Retro fit the hooks to be secure with both options for a more “customer who buys tons of accessories” friendly product.
